Vehicle description
This AM General M1038 HMMWV was originally designed for use by the US military and was refinished in textured green Raptor Liner material under current ownership. Powered by a 6.2-liter diesel V8 linked to a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, the truck is equipped with steel wheels, inboard disc brakes, portal axles, and front and rear limited-slip differentials. Other features include an insulated black soft top, a front brush guard, a Mile Marker winch, heated LED headlights, a power converter, and four Corbeau bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl upholstery. Acquired by the seller in 2021, this Humvee is offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The truck was media blasted and cracks in the hood were repaired before it was refinished in textured green Raptor Liner material under current ownership, according to the seller. Exterior features include an insulated black soft top, a front brush guard, a Mile Marker winch, heated LED headlights, an LED spotlight with a wireless controller, a hitch receiver, and rear mud flaps.
The steel wheels are said to have been rebuilt and coated with Cerakote. They wear 37×12.50″ BFGoodrich Baja T/A tires that the seller notes were installed under current ownership. The truck is equipped with four-wheel independent suspension, and braking is handled by inboard-mounted discs. The seller notes that the wheels were rebuilt under current ownership and wear a Cerakote finish. The brake and power steering fluids were flushed in February 2024 according to the seller. The front CV shafts are in need of replacement.
The cabin has been fitted with four Corbeau bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl upholstery. Other features include cup holders, phone mounts, a rear molle panel, and a power converter.
Instrumentation includes a 60-mph speedometer, an air filter restriction readout, and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The seller states that the odometer showed approximately 2,600 miles before the truck was overhauled. The five-digit mechanical odometer now shows 500 miles, and total mileage is unknown. The fuel gauge works intermittently.
The 6.2-liter diesel V8 sends power to all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, portal axles, and front and rear Torsen limited-slip differentials. Service in 2024 is said to have included installing dual yellow-top Optima batteries, changing the engine oil, and flushing the coolant, differential fluid, and portal axle fluid.

The truck is titled using the manufacturer’s serial number—031182—shown on the data plate above. The Texas title lists the model year as 1987.
