Vehicle description
This 1972 GMC Jimmy was acquired by the seller in 2023 and subsequently refurbished. Work involved installing a 6.0 liter Vortec V8, a 6L90 six-speed automatic transmission, and a suspension lift as well as refinishing the truck in Medium Bronze Metallic over brown and black. Equipment includes a dual-range transfer case, a black-coated removable hardtop, 15″ Rally wheels, Rough Country shocks, Holley Sniper EFI, Magnaflow exhaust, a Hydroboost brake system, Vintage Air HVAC, a custom center console, a RetroSound stereo, Kenwood speakers, and VHX gauges. This Jimmy is now offered with service records, refurbishment photos, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The truck was stripped and bodywork involved replacing the right rocker panel and the tailgate as well as rust repairs on the floor and at the base of both A-pillars. Additional dents and corrosion around the body were also repaired, and the truck was refinished in Medium Bronze Metallic. The removable hardtop and the liftgate had fiberglass repairs and were coated with spray-on bedliner. The door handles, side mirrors, badges, grille, windshield, and weather stripping were replaced.
The 15″ Rally wheels are wrapped in Cooper Evolution M/T tires measuring 35×12.50″. The truck is equipped with a 4″ lifted suspension, Rough Country shocks, manually locking front hubs, and power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. A Hydroboost system with a CPP master cylinder was installed, the front brakes were refurbished, and the rear brakes and parking brake were rebuilt. Manually locking hubs are equipped up front.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in two-tone brown accompanied by a body-color dash panel, a brown dash pad, and black carpeting and door panels. Kilmat sound insulation was applied throughout, and additional modifications include Vintage Air HVAC, a RetroSound stereo, Kenwood speakers, a USB charger, and a custom fabricated center console with front and rear storage pockets, two cup holders, an armrest, and a transfer case shift lever mount.
The steering column was rebuilt and Dakota Digital VHX instrumentation was installed. The five-digit odometer shows 170 miles, and approximately 500 have been added under current ownership.
The firewall was smoothed and the 6.0-liter Vortec L96 V8 was installed in 2023 and is equipped with:
