Vehicle description
This 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab is a short-bed pickup that was refurbished in 2019 with work that included repainting the body in red and white and installing a 352ci V8 along with a three-speed automatic transmission and a replacement rear differential. The truck rides on white-painted 15″ steel wheels and is equipped with a dual exhaust system, chrome bumpers, and a bench seat upholstered in red vinyl as well as a cabin heater and a replacement AM/FM radio with Bluetooth connectivity. Acquired by the seller in 2022, this F-100 is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The truck was repainted in its factory Rangoon Red and Wimbledon White color scheme as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior details include a chrome grille, bumpers, and trim as well as round dual side mirrors and Twin I-Beam badging. A spray-on liner has been applied to the floor of the cargo bed.
White-painted 15″ steel wheels with chrome hubcaps are mounted with tires measuring 225/60 up front and 245/70 out back. Braking is handled by drums at each wheel.
The bench seat is trimmed in red vinyl, while the body color and white vinyl accent the door panels. Color-coordinated carpeting lines the floor, and amenities include a cabin heater, crank-operated windows, and a replacement AM/FM radio with Bluetooth connectivity.
The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a horizontal-sweep 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, amperage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 36k chassis miles, approximately 500 miles were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown. The oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges are inoperative.
The truck came factory-equipped with a 240ci inline-six, and a 352ci V8 was installed in 2019. The replacement engine features chrome-finished valve covers and Hedman headers that feed into a dual exhaust system.
A three-speed automatic transmission and a replacement rear differential were installed in place of the factory three-speed manual transmission as part of the refurbishment.
The warranty number is consistent with a 1966 Ford F-100 assembled at the Michigan truck facility with a 240ci inline-six. Further decoding of the door tag reveals the following information:
