This 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Seville is one of 855 examples produced for the model year and was first sold at Garner Motors of Amarillo, Texas, on May 24, 1958. It later spent time in Missouri and was refurbished in 2012 under previous ownership. The car is refinished in white over black and white and is powered by a 365ci V8 linked with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Equipment includes three two-barrel carburetors, power-assisted drum brakes, chrome-finished 15″ Sabre wheels, power steering, a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, a satellite radio, and air conditioning. The current owner purchased the car in 2018, and work in preparation for the sale included replacing the tires, wheel cylinders, fuel pump, and ballast resistor. This Eldorado Seville is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Arizona title in the name of the current owner’s LLC.
The car was finished from the factory in Olympic White and was refinished in 2012. The trim was also replaced. Exterior details include hooded headlights, fog lights, a gold-finished grille and trim, a power-operated antenna, Dagmar bumper guards, and rear tail fins.
Chrome-finished 15″ Sabre wheels were mounted with 235/75 Auburn Deluxe Radial whitewall tires in preparation for the sale. Additional work included replacing the wheel cylinders and the front brake hoses. Braking is provided by power-assisted drums at each corner.
The cabin houses a power-adjustable front seat that was reupholstered during the refurbishment in black and white along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include power windows, a remote-control trunk lid lock, an Autronic-Eye headlight dimmer, and air conditioning. A satellite radio is housed in the glove compartment.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph sweep speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 91k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 365ci V8 was factory equipped with three two-barrel carburetors and was rated at 335 horsepower when new, and it was rebuilt in 2012. The fuel pump and ballast resistor were replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
