This 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz is one of 815 examples produced for the model year and is finished in white over two-tone red and white leather upholstery. Power is provided by a 365ci V8 linked with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, and equipment includes a power-operated Ivory soft top, power-assisted drum brakes, chrome-finished 15″ Sabre wheels, power steering, a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, power locks, a heater, and aftermarket audio system. The seller purchased the car in 2022 following noted history in a Michigan private collection, and work in 2023 included refreshing the brakes, rebuilding the driveshaft, repairing wiring and the power window system, and replacing the tires, spark plugs and wires, valve cover gaskets, fuel pump, battery, and an exhaust manifold. This Eldorado Biarritz is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a Cadillac data book, a parade boot, a car cover, recent service records, scale models, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Olympic White (90) and was previously refinished. Exterior details include a power-operated replacement Ivory soft top, hooded headlights, Dagmar bumper guards, a driver-side mirror, a power-operated antenna, quad exhaust outlets, and rear tail fins. Wiring for the exterior lighting as well as the power top was repaired in 2023. Photos detailing the exterior condition are provided in the gallery below.
Chrome-finished 15″ Sabre wheels are mounted with whitewall tires. A full-size spare is located in the trunk. Braking is provided by power-assisted drums at each corner, which were replaced along with the tires during the recent work.
The cabin houses a power-adjustable front seat that was trimmed from the factory in two-tone Vermillion Cape Buffalo and white leather, and it was previously refreshed along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include power windows, power locks, front and rear seat belts, an Autronic-Eye headlight dimmer, a remote-control trunk lid lock, a heater, and an aftermarket sound system utilizing a Pioneer CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. Work in 2023 included rebuilding the left window switch and replacing the left side window, the right window motor, and the ignition switch.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph sweep speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.
The 365ci V8 was factory equipped with three two-barrel carburetors and was rated at 335 horsepower when new. Service in 2023 included replacing the spark plugs and wires, valve cover gaskets, right exhaust manifold, exhaust manifold gaskets and studs, fuel pump, fuel lines, battery, and more as highlighted in the invoices below.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The driveshaft was rebuilt in August 2023.
