This 1952 Chevrolet 3100 five-window pickup was acquired by the seller’s father in 2008, and over the next two years it underwent a body-off refurbishment. The cab and bed were repainted Mariner Blue, the bench seat was retrimmed with brown vinyl upholstery and the interior was refinished, and a 235ci inline-six from a 1954 model was installed along with reproduction trim, braking, and electrical system components. Following the seller’s acquisition in 2021, the steering box was rebuilt and LMC gauge clusters were installed along with PerTronix ignition, a rebuilt Rochester carburetor, and stained oak bed rails. This 3100 pickup is now offered with the owner’s manual, spare parts, a truck cover, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The seller states that between 2008 and 2010 the truck was disassembled, metal work was performed and the cab corners were replaced, and the body and frame were both refinished. Painted Mariner Blue, the truck is equipped with curved rear-quarter windows, a chrome grille, dual mirrors, chrome bumpers, and running boards. The seller notes that the left door does not fit flush when closed, the wipers have been removed but are included, and there are flaws around the paintwork.
Following the seller’s acquisition, stained-oak bed rails were installed and the left door hinge was updated.
Body-color 16″ wheels have Chevrolet-logo hubcaps and whitewalls. The braking system was overhauled during the refurbishment, and following the seller’s acquisition tapered front bearings were installed and the steering box was rebuilt with a worm gear assembly and shaft from Jim Carter Truck Parts. A spare wheel is included in the sale, though the seller notes there is no provision to secure it in the truck.
The bench seat is trimmed in brown vinyl. The seller notes a paint variance in the window trim and lower door trim that was replaced and refinished following their acquisition, and the horn was also replaced and refinished and seat belts have been installed. The heater is not connected.
LMC gauge clusters were installed by the seller, who notes the oil pressure gauge does not operate correctly due to the replacement motor and high-pressure oil system. Approximately 1k miles have been added since 2021, though total mileage is unknown.
The 235ci inline-six was installed during the refurbishment, and the seller notes the electrical system was converted to 12 volts shortly after. The water pump was replaced in 2018 following its failure, which resulted in rust stains on the front-end components. PerTronix ignition was installed in 2022, and in 2023 a rebuilt alcohol-resistant Rochester carburetor was installed and fuel lines were replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. The seller notes the transmission will pop out of second gear intermittently.
The truck is titled to serial number 3KP114281, which is shown stamped on the painted-over identification plate.
