This 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo is a black-over-black example powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six that drives all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Additional features include fog lights, a fixed rear spoiler, a power sunroof, 18″ Turbo Twist wheels, Bilstein PSS10 coilover suspension, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and a Porsche CR-210 stereo. The car was sold new at Chambers Motorcars of Boston, Massachusetts, and spent much of its life in Massachusetts before coming to California in 2016, where it was acquired by the current owner approximately five years later. The 993 Turbo featured wider bodywork, revised bumper covers, and a fixed rear spoiler to accommodate top-mount intercoolers when compared with the standard 993 coupe. The 18″ Turbo Twist wheels are mounted with staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport tires that show 2021 date codes. The car features an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and the 993 was the first 911 to feature multi-link rear suspension. Braking is provided by Porsche-branded four-piston calipers over cross-drilled rotors. Bilstein PSS10 coilovers were installed in January 2017.
The seats are trimmed in black leather, which extends to the door panels, dashboard, and center console. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, a Porsche CR-210 stereo, a six-disc CD changer, and automatic climate control. The hood struts were replaced in March 2022, while the HVAC fan resistors were replaced in May 2023. The glovebox latch was adjusted in March 2024.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, an analog Quarz clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 18k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. A service receipt viewable in the image gallery below indicates that the odometer was repaired in January 2020. Total mileage is unknown.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six was factory equipped with Bosch Motronic fuel injection and was rated at 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque when new. The most recent oil change was performed in March 2024. The car passed a California emissions inspection in July 2024.
