This 1932 Buick Series 50 is one of 1,905 Model 56S Special Coupes built for the model year and was refurbished under previous ownership before it was purchased by the seller in 2013. The car is finished in green over brown upholstery, and power comes from a 230ci straight-eight paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes painted 18″ wire-spoke wheels, dual side-mount spares, glass wind wings, a golf bag door, a rumble seat, a fold-down luggage rack, a roll-up windshield, and a roll-down rear window. This 50 Series Buick is now offered at no reserve with literature and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The Buick lineup was redesigned for 1932 with hood doors and a revised grille surround. The Fisher-built bodywork on this example was repainted green under previous ownership and features chrome bumpers and headlight buckets, parking lamps, glass wind wings, running boards, a golf bag door, dual taillights, and a fold-down luggage rack. Scratches and paint chips are noted by the seller.
Painted wire-spoke wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with 5.25/5.50–18 Denman bias-ply tires. Dual side-mount spares are stowed in the front fenders with body color covers topped with mirrors. The Series 50 rode on a 114″ wheelbase and featured semi-elliptical leaf springs at all four corners. Stopping power at all four wheels is provided by mechanical drums.
The cabin features a bench seat trimmed in brown tufted cloth along with a color-coordinated headliner and door panels. A black rubber mat lines the floor, and additional amenities include faux wood window trim, a roll-up windshield, a glovebox door with an inset clock, a rear window shade, and a roll-down rear window. A glovebox key is not included in the sale.
The three-spoke steering wheel features a brodie knob and frames a 90-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 82k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under the seller’s ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The rumble seat is trimmed in brown upholstery.
The 230ci straight-eight was factory rated at 82 horsepower. An oil change was performed in 2023, and the seller notes leaks from the engine and transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission. Rust is noted on the underside.
The car is registered as Planned Non–Operational in the state of California.
