The 15″ Magnum 500 wheels are mounted with 225/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that were reupholstered in black vinyl as part of the refurbishment completed in 2017. Appointments include an overhead console, a center console, an AM radio, and a cabin heater.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 65k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 390ci Thunderbird Special V8 was reportedly removed and resealed in 2017, at which time the cylinder heads were overhauled with replacement valves. A Holley four-barrel carburetor is installed, and a replacement dual exhaust system was fitted during the refurbishment.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and an Equa-Lok limited-slip differential.
The Deluxe Marti Report indicates the car was produced in December 1966, shipped new to Des Moines, Iowa, and equipped with GT equipment and an S-code 390ci V8.
