Vehicle description
This 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab is a short-bed pickup that was acquired by the seller in 2023 and has since been fitted with a 5.0L Coyote V8, a 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission, and an 8.8″ rear axle with a limited-slip differential. Power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes and independent front suspension were also installed, along with a four-link rear suspension setup with coilovers. The truck was repainted its factory shade of Caribbean Turquoise and the bench seat was reupholstered in black and turquoise, and additional modifications include 17″ and 18″ Torq Thrust wheels, Vintage Air air conditioning, power windows, a backup camera, and a Bluetooth stereo. This F-100 is now offered at no reserve with parts receipts and a clean Arkansas title in the seller’s name.
The truck was finished from the factory in Caribbean Turquoise (B) and was repainted in 2023. The tailgate, windshield, and door glass was replaced at that time and replacement brightwork was installed apart from the front turn signal surrounds. The fuel tank has been relocated to the rear of the frame and a spray-on liner has been applied to the bed.
The staggered-diameter 17″ front and 18″ rear American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich tires that show date codes from 2023 and are sized 215/50 and 215/55 respectively. Stopping power is provided by cross-drilled and slotted rotors with red-finished calipers at each corner. Independent front suspension sourced from a Ford Crown Victoria has been added along with a four-link rear setup with coilovers and a panhard bar.
The cabin features a bench seat that was reupholstered in black and turquoise vinyl and equipped with lap belts. The dash pad was replaced and a center console with cupholders and charging ports was added in addition to a Vintage Air air conditioning and heating system, a touchscreen Bluetooth stereo with a backup camera, power windows, and door jamb light switches. The original switch gear for the heater controls, flasher, and choke are inoperative. The seller notes that a column-mounted switch operates the flashers.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a Dakota Digital gauge cluster, including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary instruments. The digital odometer shows 118 miles, which represents the mileage since the completion of the build. Total chassis mileage is unknown.
The 5.0L Coyote V8 Gen I and 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission were reportedly sourced from a 2014 Ford F-150 and installed in 2024. Engine, transmission, and power steering fluid coolers have been added.
A Ford Explorer 8.8″ rear axle with a limited-slip differential and 3.83:1 gearing has also been installed. The exhaust system features dual Flowmaster tips that exit ahead of the right rear wheel.
The warranty number is consistent with a 1966 Ford F-100 produced at the Kansas City, Missouri assembly facility and equipped with a 352ci V8. Further decoding of the door tag reveals the following information:
